Welcome to BCAM

Thank you for
getting to know us.

Thank you for taking time to learn more about The Baptist Church at McAdory in McCalla, Alabama. We are a Bible-believing fellowship of New Testament Christians who worship, serve, and witness both within our church family and throughout our surrounding community.

We take seriously the command of Jesus in Matthew 28:19 to make disciples of all nations. As we seek our next pastor, we look forward to following God’s direction for our church.

In this guide, we invite you to learn more about our church family, the kind of pastor we are seeking, and the community we serve.

Our mission

The purpose of The Baptist Church at McAdory shall be to foster a fellowship of believers to share the Gospel of Jesus and to exhibit His love to families and individuals in our community and around the world.
01 / Our story

Three congregations.
A single aim.

2005Three churches unite as BCAM
2025Celebrating our 20th anniversary

In September 2025, The Baptist Church at McAdory celebrated its 20th Anniversary. BCAM’s story is a unique one of three congregations uniting as one, and God’s faithfulness to make it successful. When First Baptist Bessemer, South Highlands Baptist Church, and Westside Baptist Church chose to unify in 2005, many expressed doubts that it would work, but God, by His grace, made it work. The Baptist Church at McAdory stands as one of the more successful examples of a merger in Alabama Baptist life.

Three churches laid aside separate banners to embrace something new – a shared vision, a new identity, a fresh mission in McCalla. They rearranged structures, defined purpose and multiplied the mission. God drew together people from different backgrounds, professions, and traditions to form a single congregation with a single aim: The Great Commission.

God has been faithful. And because He is faithful, the best days of The Baptist Church at McAdory are still ahead.
