Many churches stay busy but struggle to move forward because their leadership is reactive instead of intentional. A church can be stable and still be stagnant. Balanced budgets and predictable attendance do not prove health. Preaching and vision matter, but without listening, leadership falls flat. Listening builds trust, uncovers deeper issues, and opens the door to real change. In a struggling church, it might be the most Christlike and effective tool you have.
